Welcome to Esprit du Bocage, our two charming and stylish independent Holiday Homes (Gîtes in French), in the hilly hinterland of the Mont-Saint-Michel. Both self-catering cottages are centuries old, granite farmhouses, that have been restored with a lot of love and attention, natural materials, modern comfort and original details.
Our Gîtes are set in the calm Normandy countryside, and ideally situated to discover all of the important sights and must-sees of Normandy. We are strategically situated in the hinterland of Mont-Saint-Michel, in the proximity of beautiful beaches, charming towns, exceptional natural parks and forests. Many historical and cultural sites are in easy reach, such as the D-day Beaches (Utah Beach and Omaha beach), characterful historic towns like Avranches, Granville, Caen, and Bayeux. But also the remarkable Breton cities of Saint-Malo, Fougères and Rennes are great for a day out. Even a day-trip to the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey is possible from your holiday home.

The surrounding area offers many things to do for children such as theme- and adventure parks, karting, swimming pools, zoos; something for everyone! And for the adventurous and the sporty there is plenty to enjoy too; bungy jumping, horse riding, climbing, hiking, rail biking,golfing, fishing and biking.
The Gîtes
The charming gîtes (holiday cottages) are independent and set in the countryside. Gîte Le Pommier is for 2-4 people, and Gîte Le Cerisier for 2-6 people.

All you have to do is pack your suitcases, because our cottages are very complete and your beds are made up. Enjoy a relaxing break! Prices from 600 euros.

Southern Normandy is a beautiful region with its rich unspoiled nature, beautiful beaches, culture, history and fine food. Years ago we fell in love with this beautiful green area. We bought an old farmhouse in the heart of the Bocage Mortainais, situated in the south of the department La Manche. A varied hedgerow landscape, with valleys, rocks, rolling pastures, rivers and orchards.The biggest charm of this area is undoubtedly the peace and quiet, an abundance of natural space. An authentic piece of French countryside that hasn't been overrun by tourists.
For us the essence of a Holiday, is an abundance of time and space; nature, uninterrupted views, walking, reading and leisurely lunches outside on the terrace. Slow living at its best...
